Help Center

Here you’ll find answers to common questions about how the site works and how to manage your account.

We’re continuing to improve the platform, so small updates may appear over time.

Simple Advocate is designed to help families organize information, track details, and prepare for important conversations related to their child’s education, care, and support.

You can use the platform at your own pace — there’s no right order and nothing needs to be completed all at once.

Simple Advocate is an organization and preparation tool for families navigating education, therapy, and care coordination.

We help you keep information in one place and reduce the mental load of remembering details across providers, schools, and services.

We do not provide legal or clinical advice. Families remain in control of all decisions.

Once you create an account, you can begin adding information whenever it feels right.

Many families start by saving key contacts, uploading important documents, or filling out forms gradually over time.

You do not need to finish everything to benefit from the platform.

No. Simple Advocate is designed to be built over time.

You can add, edit, or update information whenever things change. Many families use the platform as a reference point they return to as needed.

Simple Advocate includes forms and tools that help you store information in one place so you don’t have to remember everything later.

These tools are meant to support you — not add pressure.

Forms help you capture details related to your child’s care, education, and supports.

You can complete forms all at once or gradually. Each form includes space for notes so you can save context, reminders, or details that are helpful to you.

Yes. Everything you add can be updated as things change.

Simple Advocate is meant to reflect your child’s journey over time, not a single moment.

Notes are a place to save helpful details you don’t want to forget — such as preferences, reminders, communication tips, or things you’ve learned over time.

Many families use notes to capture the small nuances that don’t fit neatly into a form field.

Your information is private to your account.

Only you — and anyone you intentionally choose to share access with — can view your information.

Every family uses Simple Advocate a little differently. Most start small — then build their system over time as needs come up.

Below are some of the ways families commonly use the platform to stay organized and reduce mental load.

      • Medications & Dosing Notes
A simple place to track what your child takes, how it changes over time, and questions you want to remember for appointments.
(When available, medication details like purpose and common side effects are automatically pulled in to save you time.)

      • Key Contacts
Keep teachers, therapists, care coordinators, and providers in one place so you’re not searching when you need to reach someone quickly.

      • Reusable Emails & Messages
Save emails or messages you send often and adjust them as needed instead of starting from scratch each time.

      • Important Notes Before Meetings
Jot down concerns, reminders, or talking points so nothing gets lost when meetings come up.

      • Documents You Need Quickly
Upload and organize important files so you can pull them up when a school or provider asks.

      • Favorites
Mark the things you use most so they’re always close at hand and easy to find.

When Families Use Guides & Resources

Families often use Simple Advocate’s guides when they’re preparing for something new — or when a question comes up and they’re not sure where to start.

Common reasons parents visit this section include:

  •    – Understanding special education timelines and school processes

  •    – Preparing for an IEP or 504 meeting

  •    – Making sense of evaluations and school decisions

  •    – Learning what options exist, even if they don’t need them right now

You don’t need to read everything at once. Many families return to guides over time as new questions or situations come up.
